Patience is a virtue right?!?!
Well it's one that I don't have down quite yet!
Here I sit 37 weeks pregnant (2 days shy of 38 weeks), ITCHING to go into labor. Darn mother nature. I *know* life will be harder after baby2 is outside my belly and I *know* these are my last few days/weeks with June as an only child, but still I desire to feel those painful contractions, end this pregnancy, and meet my mystery baby #2.
This baby dropped almost 4 weeks ago, wreaking havoc on my hips and general achiness. The baby cannot get any lower, yet I think he/she is happily baking away. You have no clue how antsy I am for Wednesday to come so I can go to the Drs and find out if there's been more progression. I feel like the next 2 weeks will take forever and if I could will this baby out, he/she would already be born.
Over the last month, I've designed a chore chart for myself to stay on top of the house. That way, whenever I would go into labor, the house would be decently clean. And for the last month, I've diligently kept up with my chores. I've packed my bag, cleaned ridiculous things while nesting, bought ALL baby2's diapers and "grandma" diapers for June while I'm in the hospital (we cloth diaper so I have non-complicated diapers for while I'm away). I've made a "June's Master Plan" detailing his day from morning to night. I've included a cloth diaper care sheet as well. All baby items are out. Neutral clothes are washed. And all my clothes have been sorted through and put into "postpartem," "skinny," and "seasonal/Spring" boxes. I think I'm beyond ready.
The annoying part... I've had Braxton Hicks contractions literally since 16 or 17 weeks. I am NO stranger to them, yet now I analyze whether they hurt, or are just tight. Are they coming more frequently? Are they lasting longer? Each contraction is analyzed, yet I'm fairly certain I haven't had a "real" contraction yet.
BAH! Only 2-3 more weeks right?!?!?
