The longer story... (no details excluded, so pass by the birth story if needed)
We were scheduled to induce baby2 on Monday the 10th. My due date was the 11th and my body was progressing well so Dr P didn't see a reason to wait any longer... Here's how Monday went!
7:00am - Got to the hospital
8:00am - Dr P checked me (2-3 cm, 90% effaced) and broke my water
9:15am - start pitocin
11:00am - 4cm got epidural
1:00pm - 6+cm (checked by resident)
1:20pm - 9cm!!!!! (checked by my dr)... this is NO lie. I think the resident was wrong with my 6cm decree, but I literally progressed FAST after that!
2:00pm - 10cm and was told the head was "right there"... so they prepped the room and got me ready. I was able to keep the epidural on FULL BLAST, which was wonderful. June's was turned OFF for the 2 hours of pushing... I felt pressure but NOTHING painful at all with Josh.
2:04pm - Started pushing... he was crowing during contraction #1 (3 pushes), progressed through contraction #2 (3 pushes), then I was told "we're having a baby during this next contraction"... I literally was like "Uh!... ok!" Contraction #3 started, I pushed twice, his head was out (cord wrapped twice), and I was told to stop pushing... Dr P eased him out @ 2:09 after FIVE MINUTES OF PUSHING, we had another son!!!!
Josh has been low key, much like June but boy! when he's annoyed, he can yell! ;o) June is pretty confused but I'm hoping he adjusts quickly. He can say "Joshhhhhh" and will point to Josh is you ask him "where's Josh?" So here we are, 25, and a family of 4. We're parents of boys... 2 under 2! :o)
