Mommy/June Date!

I decided last week that June wasn't getting enough alone time with me, so I planned a mommy, June date. I remember babysitting for a family with 4 boys a few years back. The mom would go on coffee dates with her boys individually and I thought that was really neat. Even in a bigger family there *can* be time made for each child individually (remind me of this when there's 8 of them!) ;o)

Anyway, I needed to get some Christmas gifts and we had an open Saturday so June and I got ready and headed out...




Our plan was to go to the mall. Um, not such a good idea 2 weeks before Christmas! It was insanity so we turned around and went to Target. This was how June started off our date:



Uh, yeah that sleepy attitude followed us all through Target. Let's just say Target wasn't June's idea of a fun time. Nonetheless I got my shopping done & June was rewarded (bribed?) with a McDonald's lunch.



I enjoyed my time out with just June. I think it was needed and welcome by the both of us. I'm sure he was fairly clueless as to my intent, but somewhere he probably liked being the center of attention for a little. :o)
