1. June Do It
June has to do e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g by himself these days. Some of these things include: opening the fridge, closing the microwave and pressing start, climbing into his car seat, playing anything, turning on lights. All the things *I* used to do, June feels the need to lend a hand: "No mommy, Juuuune do it!"
2. Questions and Sentences
This is one of the cooler ones of late. June speaks 95% of the time in full sentences. I love being able to communicate with him (even if it means he gets to express his opinion more frequently). And just in the last few days, June started to ask real questions. Last Saturday he walked up to me and asked, "Mommy, whadya doin?" Another time we were outside and he looked toward the cars and asked. "Where's Dada?" They are simple but this is the first time that we are seeing questions really emerge. :o)
3. Smarts
June realized that if you pull a chair over to something, you can reach things that are much taller than you. He also learned that if you take a broom stick, you can knock things off the wall that you can't reach with your hands. I love seeing his mind grow.
4. Imagination
June loves to draw with markers. Lately he told me he drew airplanes, cats, and a butterfly. Granted, they are blobs to me, but there is imagination going on in that little mind. It's great!!
Keep learning little June-bug!
