It's the little things

This morning didn't start out with a super happy mama.

Before I even heard a peep out of Josh, I heard June BARGE into Josh's room. This was shortly followed by Josh whining. June did a decent job of entertaining Josh, but still, once you enter Josh's room he wants OUT of his crib... NOW. June can't aid Josh in that (thank goodness) and Jim and I were still sleeping.

FAN-tastic. I jumped in the shower hoping that Josh was not screaming by the time I got out and meanwhile was cursing June for waking Josh up. This could have been a sleep-in morning.

And into a funk I went. My next disturbance was to realize Jim forgot to get eggs last night. It doesn't seem like a big deal but I had my mind set on making muffins and pancakes for breakfast. So now I was tired, grumpy, and hungry.

Like any good husband, Jim ran to get eggs before work. When he returned, he held this:

It's the small things in life that can make the biggest impact and this was one small gesture that turned around my entire day. Life is good.
