I intended this blogging thing to capture my children's little lives in snapshots and show my path through motherhood. I've kinda failed. I barely got into blogging and I stopped. So... here's a re-cap.
June is a month from turning 3. How did THAT happen? He's wonderful and the biggest pain all in one cute little face. Two was a rough year as a mommy... and I'm assuming as a June too. I had to let go of control as he took some of the reigns and learned about independance, boundies, and TANTRUMS. This year... hasn't been so fun. BUT there are times he says things and clicks into the cutest little thing. He's a wonderful big brother (most times) and is a fantastic head of the family.
June is learning to spell his name and write letters. He seems to love it so I'm keeping things low stress and fun in hopes that the love of learning will stick with him. He love building towers (and showers?) and still ADORES his books. He's rough and tumble and my shy guy. :)
Josh... OH Josh. Josh is my little sweet spitfire. He's 14 months and a MAMA's boy. June was never a mama's boy. In fact, I think June has preferred Jim most of his little life. He adores daddy. Josh... all about me. He goes to Jim, plays with Jim, but there's definitely that need for mommy. I can't blame him. I worked once a week through June's first 2 years, Jim had more days off, etc. I've been home 24/7 since Josh has been born (more or less) and Jim is in hard core grad school, leaving Josh with lots of mommy exposure.
Anyway, Josh is taking steps, babbling, turning on lights, playing and being a lovable young toddler. He whines like nobody else but at the end of the day, he's my sweetheart.
Baby 3. Oh yes, we are on baby 3. There will be a 19 month gap and baby 3 is due June 30th. I'm currently 19 weeks (20 tomorrow) and feeling good. Gaining a TON and feeling fluttery movements. I'm entering the fun part of the pregnancy and am excited to have a newborn in the house again. I'm not going to lie. I LOVE sleeping through the night... LOVE it. But I can cross my fingers and hope for a fantastic sleeper, right?!
So I think that's about it. I'm in full mommy mode, Jim is in work and school mode, the boys are situated on growing and learning, and life is good... crazy, hectic, but good. :)
