Update May 2011

I haven't updated about the kids since January so I thought I would add it in. :)

June

June is doing great right now. He got a balance bike for Easter and is working hard in gliding for longer periods at a time. He has been a big help watering our new garden and flower beds. So far I'm enjoying the age of 4. It's so so so much less intensive than 2 or 3. Thank goodness!! June is still a complete sweetheart and as stubborn as a mule, but show him respect and you'll get the same. He wants to be on par with bigger kids and heard by adults. June wants acceptance and inclusion right now. He is growing into such a good big boy. We are most working on sharing and letting others have toys or priviledges even when we don't want to... and that's a process but that skills is hard for some adults, so we keep trying. :) June is LOVING the outdoors and is finding more and more of a playmate in Josh. :)

Josh

Oh Mr. Josh. What a stinker. Josh is 2. Need I say more? ;) Actually Josh is doing well. He understands a lot and is a bruiser. He's a tough kid and so sweet. Josh is comical and loves to make others smile. He plays well with others and is still pretty respectful of his sister. We battle some tantrums and time-out isn't unheard of, but Josh does listen and is such a great little thing. He makes me smile. Josh won't hug or kiss on demand but he loves cuddling at night and I soak up every second of him. Part of me wants to freeze him at this age (yes, I said it.. freeze him at 2...) He's so stinkin' cute and innocent. He talks non-stop and is pretty clear with a big vocabulary. I love hearing him jabber. Josh can hold his own at the park and will play well independently when he wants. He also whines and cries often, but we don't go into that here. ;)

Elizabeth

Little miss princess face. :) She loves her Dadddy right now. It's cool to see their bond finally forged. Jim gets attached to the kids (and vice versa) at some point, but it doesn't happen right away. I think Josh was like 18 months when it finally clicked, but with Eliz it's been recently. She lights up when she sees him. She will wave and started clapping. Elizabeth can pull up on most objects but hasn't started cruising yet. She started crawling at 8 months and is on the move. She's on table food mostly, with a puree here or there. She loves playing with her toys and adores her brothers. She isn't easily upset but WOOOOO if you bug her, you know it! She is loud. Elizabeth is such a pleasure. I look forward to watching her grow. Her birthday will be here before I know it. It's amazing. I feel like she should still be a teeny little newborn thing. She's so smiley and adds such a cool dynamic to the house.

Life with these 3 can be nuts, but it can also be absolutely awesome. Right now June is getting a TV show, Josh is riding on the back porch and Eliz is finishing up her nap. It's nice. :) And on that note I'll go wake Elizabeth up and start lunch. :)

Conrad family over and out!
