So it only took be FOUR years to get this kid on ice, but I did it!! We sneaked away at nap time one Saturday afternoon and headed down to Steel Ice.
June had no problem getting geared up and ready to go. I taught him the typical "falling down" and "getting up" as well as marching off-ice and he was ready to give it a go.
June loved the ice but he wasn't feeling confident enough to march alone... we spent a lot of time together, me holding him up. That said, the experience was totally positive and he wants to go again soon! I count that as a success!
After a while June wanted a break and wanted me to show him some "tricks" which I happily obliged. He hung out in the penalty box and pulled me over after each thing I did to excitedly praise me. It was precious!
