Christmas Tree Hunt 2011

It's become some a tradition to go to our tree farm (I honestly don't know the name of it) and cut down a tree as a family.

Elizabeth got a ride in my new Beco this year.  Luck her.

Off we go to pick out our tree.  It was a bit of a walk this year and chilly.  I happened to forget gloves and hats. Brrrr.

Randomly, there were still pumpkins out in the field in front of the trees. I found it comical.

We looked and looked and FOUND IT!   All the cut-down trees were short this year.  It's ok... our house it bite-sized too.  We couldn't fit a Rockefeller tree.  ;)

Bissa was still chillin... literally.

June stands guard while Daddy gets the wagon and saw.

Cut cut cut...

TIMBER!

Josh prepared the cart and we're off to pay

She's still back there...

Once the tree is done we head into the cottage to pay.  The kids can have free apples and popcorn.  If they go up to Santa, they get a candy cane and we wait inside while daddy ties the tree and pays (ok, ok, so this year our tree fit into our trunk... short trees, I'm telling ya).

June was star struck.  Santa asked him what he wanted and he was speechless.  It was very endearing.  He told me he got so quiet because that was the real Santa.  Santa is big this year.

TA-DAAAAAA!

Enjoy this weekend before Christmas, people. :)  It's a good time of year.
