Boys Fight
http://themarathonmom.com/boys-fight.htm
When I say that things are "hard" or that we've had a crazy day... *this* is pretty much specifically what I mean. The squabbles, the roughhousing, the wrestling, the injuries, the crying, the yelling, the kicking, the rolling, the competition... I'm often surprised at how rough and tumble my boys are compared to others I know. Their boys seem so... calm. I've wondered if I'm doing something wrong. I've wondered if I'm too lax (ha!). I've wondered WHY they behave like cavemen at any possible chance.
Once again, I see that I'm NORMAL. Hallelujah! Not that having rowdy, loud, rough boys isn't anything to be excited about, but it's normal! 20 months apart and 2 strong personalities.
I will say, I do feel blessed that God intermixed the girls in with the boys. I have the 2 crazy boys, but am blessed with a buffer of 2 girls. Elizabeth is spunky and tough as nails, thanks to the boys, but she's still a girl. She plays dolls, she doesn't naturally gravitate to punching and kicking and rolling on the ground for sport. I'm sure her and her little sister will squabble and bicker and cat fight but at least the brutality that is the day-to-day will be buffered a bit.
But yeah, be warned, if you come to my house... it's loud. It's crazy. It's rowdy. I have boys. Close in age, crazy boys.
