The kids are perfect park ages. I feel like once the weather is nice, parks are what we do. It just makes sense to me. Our town has parks in most neighborhoods and random township ones as well. There are probably close to a dozen within 10 minutes. It's awesome. We frequent many of them, but of course we have our token favorites. They have real names, but to us our top favorites are:
The Walking Park: within walking distance from our house.
The Dinosaur Park: a neighborhood park with a big dinosaur contraption in the front of it. Always empty. Bonus!
Breinigsville: The park located in Breinigsville
The New Park: The new park that just opened a few weeks ago.
The Sand Park: A park with a giant sand box
Danielle's Park: The park by Danielle's house.
etc. We call a few by their actual names, but I won't share those here for privacy and all.
Parks are what we do. I've been packing a lunch and we play from 11 until 1 or 2. We often bring friends along, but will wander to a park ourselves as well. I once read a blog post that griped about the annoyance of parks as a parent.
Say WHAT?! Blasphemy!
I love parks. I love taking the kids to parks. Fresh air. Free play. Contraptions that you just don't have in your backyard. We have a small-ish house and an itty bitty microscopic back yard... parks are clutch.
I understand there are swings to push and when you have a young toddler, you do more chasing and jungle-gym-hole-spotting than sitting, but in my mind, you can't beat a good park.
That's how we spent our last 2 weeks of Summer... living at parks. :) I wouldn't change a thing.

We have a corner lot with almost no yard... and we live within walking distance to a park. Between that park and the playground at our school, who needs a huge, expensive swingset? Not us! :)
we are big park fans too
