I've been running errands with the three littles and one store we stopped at is located on this little farm. After shopping, as a reward for good behavior, the kids ran to check out the sheep and the cutest little lamb came over and greeted the kids. It was beyond adorable.
Also, we have still been watching Mea, but that comes to a close soon as her mama will be home on maternity leave because Mea is gaining a little brother in June!! The picture below was Mea and Emily watching Frozen songs while I snuck pigtails in their hair. ;)
And then there has been teeth. OH Emily and the teeth. I so hope it's teeth that has been making her a little pistol. Mommy is highly needed for this little lady, who is often not a happy camper lately. This too shall pass, just like any other annoying phase.
Though, she is quite cuddly and that's pretty nice as I haven't had a good cuddler since June.
We also made a pit stop at the cemetery where both of my Grandparents are buried, as well as Jim's Grandpap. The kids put red carnations on the graves, June's idea. This was the same day that he went food shopping with me, which was actually very enjoyable. I'll be offering to take him more often. :)

Then there has been bouts of sickness recently for whatever reason... blah. This is by far my least favorite part of motherhood, but it's necessary and whatnot. This was a photo taken after a long night. Tired mommy.
Baseball!! There has also been baseball!!! I never thought I would be a sport mom... I have never been drawn to watching sports or even really partaking in organized sports myself, but let me tell you, I LOVE being a baseball mom. I love watching the boys play. June is in "coach pitch" this year, which segues him into real baseball in the next few years. It's amazing to see him grow and change. I love watching his games... amid wrangling my little 3. It's a juggle, but I love being at games. Jim is coaching both teams. The boys are lucky little men.
Elizabeth got a girly escape when she was invited to her little friend's ballet birthday party. She had a BALL!!!
Next up was Mother's Day. Mother's Day started rather miserable. I was throwing myself a pity party... Emily had a fever virus and Jim wasn't feeling 100% so our day's events were cancelled. I wasn't going to leave him to care for a sick baby, while feeling under the weather himself so I bailed on my nephew's baptism and a Mother's Day picnic at my in-laws. After much moping and hating the world, I loaded all the kids in the car and drove Zachary's baptism gift down to their house. On our way June asked about going to the Fish Hatchery sometime soon. I thought about it, and although I had a feverish Emmy, we wouldn't be near anyone else, but it would give us an event to do without contaminating others.
We drove and dropped off the gift, swung by and grabbed subs from a local shop and headed to the Fish Hatchery. We ate lunch there and I acrounged up a dollar and fifty cents in change, which bought me 3 small bags of fish food. Perfect. After we were there about an hour Jim called and asked if he could join. The kids found a non-fish sanctioned creek and fun was had by all.
Mother's Day ended nicely too... we grilled out and went for ice cream. All in all it ended up a very impromptu but wonderful Mother's Day. I was surrounded by my kids and it was just nice. :)
Little Miss Emily has also taken to being quite independent and... adventurous.
Back to baseball... can't forget Josh. He's playing t-ball this year and is showing improvement as the season goes on. He loves playing which makes me happy.
The rest of us chill during games...
So cute... I love seeing Josh in the itty bitty baseball pants. :)
Woo... I told you there was a LOT going on in May. Holy Moly!!!
The last venture that happened recently was a wedding in New York. Jim agreed to be in the wedding before we knew it would be in NY, soooooooo either he went up solo, which he wasn't feeling, or we make it a FIRST TIME EVER weekend away.
WOO HOO!!
There was so much prep work leading up to leaving... my parents came to my house to stay with the girls so I had to clean the house well for them (to give them a clean slate) and have directions and whatnot set out for the girls. I had to pack up the boys, as they were staying with my in-laws.
Eventually, we were off!!
Friday night was rehearsal and a dinner. Jim got his groomsman gift which was him, as a bobble head. :P
Saturday, Jim needed to be with the groom by 11am, and I grabbed lunch and got ready. It was GLORIOUS to have an hour or so to just chill in the oh-so-quiet hotel room. Ahhhhh.
Off to the wedding...
In between the wedding and reception I did a little shopping and grabbed some grub.
The reception was wonderful. They had SO MUCH FOOD.
It was fun to catch-up with Jim's college friends.
Fun was had by all. :)
The next morning we needed to venture home, but first we got breakfast at a really great cafe with our friends TJ and Kara. :) After that, we returned to reality...
It was a really great weekend. :)
Otherwise our days have been spent still in school-mode and daily life and chores mixed with trips to parks and out to ice cream. This is such a fun time of year. I'm trying to enjoy every second of it!!
