2 weeks to my due date!
I had an OB appt this afternoon. My suspicions are correct and baby girl is sunny-side-up (ish). Seriously, daily I have been doing the tricks to get her to rotate to anterior (facing my back) and by the next day, I can tell she's back to face-up (posterior). However, I was curious to get my doctor's opinion on how she's sitting. While she is head down, her back was on my right side, but tucked to the back which means she's kinda side ways, looking toward my left side. I'll just have to keep working on the positions and keep flipping her. My doctor said she still has time to roll and even in labor she will twist and descend. Usually my babies are LOW by this point, and she's just not. She's high and floating, which isn't all bad because she's not locked into the posterior position. Also, the fact that I don't go into labor before my due date mentally gives me two weeks (at least) to let her find her way... I don't feel the crunch of her needing to be ready right.this.second.
Everything else with the appointment went well. This was only my second time meeting this doctor, but I really liked her and felt a report with her, which is good. I like the other doctor too, but just didn't have experience with this one, so I'm glad I landed an appt with her today. Additionally, my blood pressure is getting progressively lower and today was 82/58. I asked if there is a point where they get concerned if your BP is too low and she said yes, however I'm not at that point yet. Okie dokie. I usually have low blood pressure, but it's been consistently lower than 100/60 this pregnancy. I'm a super low pre-ecclampsia risk, bonus!

I still feel good besides the shooting pains that come from her being posterior... apparently her forehead rubs against my pubic bone or something like that and hits the nerve there which equals hip pain. It's usually momentary, but it's nasty. I think I'll call my chiro and see if she can get me in. Maybe I just need to be re-aligned. Otherwise, I'm good! I still feel good. My belly is massive, but it doesn't bother me much.
I have this anticipation for labor building. It's weird, I don't dread it, I'm looking forward to it. Though that comes with a plea of "please please please let this labor go well!!!!" The whole posterior thing makes me nervous, but I'm being proactive so it should be easily solved. I even bookmarked a video of positions to do in labor to get babies to rotate. The anticipation itself of labor coming and working towards meeting my little girl is fun. I have seen pictures of newborns and my heart just swells with the thought of getting to snuggle my own, and so soon. I love the squishy dependent newborn phase. LOVE it.
It's kinda weird to think that in a matter of weeks I will go from no babies in the house (unless you still count Emily... she's borderline) and toting a big round belly to having my body back but caring for a teeny one and once again nursing. Such a shift!!
What else? The boys start school Monday. Insanity. They have a 4 day week next week and a 4 day week the week of my due date. Getting into a school groove will consume the next week and then DUE DATE WEEK will consume the following. I packed my hospital bag and cleaned out the van. The car seat will go into the car soon and then all I need to do is bring out the remaining baby gear.
Until 39...
