Annie's Baptism

On Sunday, the 28th, Annie was welcomed into the church.

Baptism day is always a special day for our family.  I love the baptism ceremony and the rite of passage that comes with baptism.

This time we chose Jim's sister Laura and her fiancé Kyle as the Godparents. Laura is June and Josh's Godmother and after nearly 6 years of no new Godchildren we felt like it was a good time to ask Laura again. Plus, this time we could give her a Goddaughter!  Since Laura is getting married in only a few months it was a no brainer to use Kyle as the Godfather. He's a great guy and why not immerse him in the family from the get go?!

Things were kept simple. This was our first baptism at our new parish and while it was different than the traditional Latin baptism, it was still nice. We went to a park down the street to eat and play afterward. It was a beautiful day and another sacrament to add to the books.

Here are a few shots from the day :)
