Summer days

I have been feeling very ready for school to start up again, and it will before I know it, but I also have to admit that this summer has been pretty awesome.

This summer has been about friends. True friends. This Summer has been about connecting and being authentic and open and letting people in. We have had many play dates out at parks and pools and the fish hatchery and zoo. It has been a summer of care-free mornings and quiet mellow afternoons (studying afternoons for me) and family dinners and evenings.

This summer has been filled with memories for the kids. Good friends and great times.

I may be feeling the desire for the routine that comes with school starting, but I can't deny the ease and freedom and simplicity of summer.

This summer has been made of all things summer should: family, friends, and fun. I can't complain. It's been a good one.

And it wouldn't be complete without a milestone or two. Josh bumped out a tooth while eating crackers at the park last week. He didn't even realize he lost it until I told him. Later that day I easily popped the other bottom wiggler out. Two for one tooth fairy. When Josh loses teeth, he makes means business.

Two more weeks until school starts... I plan to enjoy my big kids home and the beauty of warm, free, summer days. :)
