JANUARY
In January we were given a job offer by Jim's current employer. We had been working on finding a new job since November 2007. We desired to move out of NJ, closer to family and a new job was the only way to accomplish that... finally my prayers and Jim's hard work paid off! Our prayers to Saint Jude were answered and then and there we decided our next son would be named after this great saint.
FEBRUARY
With the job set to start in March, we began to house hunt... and fast! We met with a Realtor in early February and saw 10 rentals... again St. Jude prevailed and we were set to move into a great place (a HUGE step up from our 1 bedroom apt in Jersey) February 29th... an hour from Jim's new work and 30 minutes from both parents. Perfect. :o)
MARCH
Our bouncing baby boy turned ONE! Being that we moved into our home February 29th and June's first birthday was March 2nd, we planned on bypassing any big celebration and concentrate on unpacking and getting settled. With amazing help from our families we were unpacked completely by March 1st (yes in 2 days!). We had family over and celebrated June's big day!

March 3rd, we found out that we were pregnant with baby #2. I remember it being SO surreal. Yes we were open to another baby whenever... and yes June was in the process of weaning, but to go from the day before when ALL eyes were on June, celebrating his first birthday and giving him a room all his own for the first time, to realizing it's not just about him anymore was... weird. It was amazing that we'd be revisiting all the milestones of pregnancy and infancy again and June would have a sibling. But nonetheless it was weird. We were excited and estimated the due date to be 11.11.08... let the morning sickness begin!
APRIL
Jim settled into his new job and life kept ticking by...

On April 29th, my birthday, I went into my first prenatal appointment. What a wonderful birthday present to hear my new baby's heart beat and see him/her for the first time! Priceless.

MAY
June began to walk!! With walking came other pre-toddler adventures and PURE boy moments...

JUNE
We spent the better part of June down at the Jersey shore... not on vacation, but on an extended business trip of sorts. Jim took a temporary assignment 20 minutes from his Aunt's beach house and he happily played "house" down there for a few weeks! Thank you Joyce and Steve!!

JULY
In July we began venturing out to more play dates locally as well as meeting Muffin Moms down at the Philly Zoo for a lovely day of browsing animals in 95 degree weather! :oP

AUGUST
In August we had one last playdate with our bestest friends from New Jersey, Christine and Hannah. They headed off to London for a year of working there with Hannah's daddy's company!

& baby 2 was growing bigger and bigger!! All was still well & we were playing the waiting game!

SEPTEMBER
September passed with not much new. June was getting into full toddler mode, loving balls and trucks, throwing tantrums & finally getting a few words. Jim enrolled in Penn State's grad program and took another class towards his masters and continued to excel at his new job (according to me and the review he received later in December!!)
After this occurrence in August & baby2's impending arrival in November, we decided to move June into a toddler bed. At a ripe young age of 18 months June began sleeping in a big boy bed with no problems!!!

OCTOBER
This month passed absolutely at a snail's pace. June and I spent the month attending lots of playdates & other outings. The house was prepared for a newborn and life ticked on!
NOVEMBER
Welcome to the world baby2...

Joshua Jude was born on November 10, 2008 at 2:09pm weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and measuring 20 inches.
This little man has blessed our lives and we are unbelievably happy to have him here with us. As a side note, I just learned in church that Joshua translated in Greek is Jesus! Cool, huh? Joshua Jude. His meek personality and calm demeanor, mixed with a strong name could lead to something good. June also had a big adjustment this month. He proved to be a wonderful big brother and melts our hearts daily with his sweet gestures towards Josh. We enjoyed 2 weeks of Jim home from work and realized the power and good of sheer family time, no plans, no agenda, just time. We adjusted into and are enjoying this new life as a family of 4 and reveling in all it brings...
Before the month completely came to a close, Joshua was baptized on November 29, 2008 and fully welcomed into the church. That's always an incredibly joyful time for Jim and I... and of course it followed the Latin ceremony from years passed. :o) What else would you expect from us?!

DECEMBER
Somehow this month became absolutely crammed with events and busy-ness...
This month was filled with sleepless nights, nursing, colds for both boys, a wedding! in Philly, family visits, Christmas decorating, Midnight Mass, & lots of fun.
I look forward to what 2009 has in store. I look forward to time with my family, and watching each boy hit the next new milestones ... it's a good life ...
