All my friends' kids started trucking off to preschool and my insecurities FLARED. I know I want to homeschool my children and I'm confident in the "book" knowledge that June already has, but for some reason it started to majority eat at me that I had nothing structured at home and wasn't sending him anywhere structured either.
Soooooo the research began. After a week of searching I came across http://confessionsofahomeschooler.blogspot.com/, fell in love with her personality, ideas, and style. I purchased her Letter of the Week Preschool Curriculum and will add early Math and Phonics as well as a few other fun activities I found, thus kicking off June's venture into (a bit more) structured education. I plan on doing the curriculum with both June and Josh, merely as exposure of the Alphabet for Josh.
We will start the first week of October and hopefully document along the way. I know I will look back at this years from now and laugh at my "structured" preschool, but for now, it feels right...
