My World Traveler

As I sit to type, I am in a house with 2 kids... yup 2.

My June has taken up the hobby of temporarily living at other peoples' homes.   Honestly, it's great. :)

He started with an innocent sleep over at my in laws house.  He loves LOVES sleeping over there.  That was Spring 2010, at the ripe young age of 3. :)  Over the next few months he would occasionally ask to sleep over again and I'd readily arrange a date and ship him off.  It was fantastic because *I* wanted a break because I was then adjusting to life with 3, one being a newborn and June thought a overnight trip was the best thing ever.

In the past few months his stays have gotten longer.  So far his max is 3 nights and honestly, he'd stay more. :)  This past weekend he spent Friday night at the Conrad's, then Sunday my parents got him and he spent 2 nights there.  I anticipate his return today.

It's just such a win-win.  I get a "break" because I only have 2 and can get a bunch more done, especially on nap time and he gets quality time with his extended family.  He gets one-on-one attention and a change of scenery.  Josh is already asking when he can go... I told him when he is 3 he can go to Grandma's/Nana's.  He is a big of a wild card so I'm not sure how easy it will be for others to have him *and* who knows if he'll be so not.at.all.homesick as his big brother.

Time will tell... all I know is that families are blessings and I'm surrounded by great people who are amazing to me and my kids.  Now I'm off to enjoy the last few hours with just Josh and Elle. :)
