Josh + no supervision + paint = mess

I thought I was being a super stellar mom by setting up a craft for the kids before I took Elizabeth up for nap. I gave the boys their paint trays, pain, brushes, paper, and even a water cup to wash out their brushes.  All went well... or so I thought.

When I returned downstairs, this is the Josh I found:

He was perfectly content and saw nothing wrong with his new look. And, like any good mom, my first priority was to snap a picture and show the world.  I took his photo and posted it on Facebook. Um, yeah, in the time it took to type out that post and upload the photo, Josh did this:

And yanno... it was nothing a bath couldn't fix.  Kids are fairly washable... gentle cycle, warm wash, quick dry and they are good to go.  And props to Josh, there wasn't a single drop of paint on my windows, table, chair or surrounding areas... just on him. :)

Now I know: Take away the paint, THEN blab to the world about your awesome parenting style and child's accomplishments. Lesson learned.
