Just a Normal Day

So I thought I'd just do a run-down of today... nothing grand happened but does every post have to be about something massive... no.

So today Jim had to do shift work so he was home until 1pm and will work until 3am. Ouch. But it was nice having him home.  He got to sleep in and I got to do my run while Elizabeth napped.  We made lunch together and then he was off to work.

After Josh and Eliz went down for naps, June and I did laundry and cleaned and... stuff.  I'm not sure what happens on nap time but it always goes by fast. Anyway, after naps we played and friends of ours came over.  We have not seen them in such a long time.  Our scheudles just don't click this school year but we get together after naps from time to time and I'm looking forward to seeing them more in summer.

We had breakfast for dinner and the kids played.  They play so well.

OH! HOLD THE PRESSES!

ELIZABETH CRAWLED!

Like really crawled! She's been getting on her hands and knees and rocking or moving something but not in any sequential order. But tonight she did it.  Milestone accomplished.  Put it in the baby book, people!

She was on the mat and and straight up crawled.  Like a real baby.  MY BABY CRAWLS!  She took like 8 good little... what do you call a crawl step... well one of those, 8 of them, to me!!  It was so cute but man I'm in trouble.  She is going to find e.v.e.r.y little thing on the ground and shove it in her face.  It's so darn cute though and will kick me in the butt to clean more thoroughly, so there's that.

See, if I didn't decide to write a mundane post I would have forgot to ever document her milestone.  Sure I would have posted it in a while, but she did it TODAY!

So yeah, then our friends left after a very enjoyable time and I got the boys bathed and bed-ed (yes, bed can be a verb bc I say so).  Eliz was already asleep bc she's cool like that.

And I got to watch some TV, fold laundry, and catch up on some email.  All around good day. :)

Now I'm off to move June into his bed (he falls asleep in ours bc Josh torments him otherwise) and read some of my awesomely amazing Duggar book.  There will be posts about that book.  It rocks. But for now I'm up too late and still intend to read so I'd better get moving.
