June's 4 Year Birthday Bash

On June's birthday we had a very low-key, absolutely wonderful family day.  Jim took off of work.  After (a yummy) breakfast we went to Toys R Us and let him pick his present.  After much deliberation and a thorough comb of the store, he selected tinker toys, chalk, and a t-ball set.  After Toys R Us we ventured to Panera for lunch.  It was delicious!  Directly after that we headed to library for storytime and home for naps.  Jim and June got ice cream while the littles napped and we took him to BK and the park when everyone was awake again.  It was a really nice day and I think he had an awesome 4th birthday.

The following day we had MOPS and June got to take cupcakes into his class and was sung to.  I think it made his day!

Friday, the party began!

I held a playdate birthday party for June for some of his little friends.  Grandma (my mother in law) baked June an amazingly awesome birthday cake and Grandpap (my father in law) helped decorate it.  That think rocked!!

(this was their version of "cheese")

(told you it rocked)

(goodie bags for the guests)

(snack station)

(cake again)

(happy birthday dear Juuuuuune)

(make a wish big guy)

(little help from friends)

(enjoying the shin dig)

(the rest of the crew)

(PRESENTS!)

(and when the party is over, the playing begins!)

I think June enjoyed his party... it's so fun to have a bunch of his little buddies over to play and in this case, celebrate.

AND to cap off this extravaganza, we had a family party for June on Saturday.  The typical crowd was there and fun was had by all.

(singing... again!)

(this is too cute... June was flustered bc he tried to prematurely blow out the candles and he got embarassed.  When it came time to actually blow out the candles, he was huffy.  We asked if Josh could help. June agreed. As soon as Josh took a breath, June snapped out of his funk and together the extinguished the -itty bitty- flames.  Yay for brothers.)

(presents!!!)

So... he's 4.  Well, he has been for almost a month but, uh, I'm busy people.  I can't be expected to upload pictures and all that jazz in a timely manner. ;)  I think he had a wonderful birthday and I have high hopes for 4
Because 2 and 3 are... rocky

I hope you enjoy your 5th year of life, June.  I hope you continue to learn and grow and care.  I hope this year brings many good things to you.  I promise to continue to try to be the best mommy I possibly can.  I hope you and Josh grow into a deeper friendship and level of respect.  I hope you and Daddy find more in common and continue to enjoy each other like you do now.  I hope you play, explore, ask, learn, and love.  I hope you get dirty, run around until you are exhausted, act silly, and absolutely take advantage of this year of care-free childhood.  I hope this year allows you to be a typical kid and enjoy every second of it. <3 I love you little man.
