First Birthday Extravaganza

I'm so excited.  I've never gotten to really "do" an awesome first birthday party.  With June, we moved to PA the day before his first birthday so we had something small and very last minute at our new place.  With Josh, I was already feeling the throws of morning sickness (and if you've read my past posts, you know how awesome I felt emotionally too... NOT) so I had absolutely zero motivation to plan and do anything.

This time it's different!!  We aren't moving and I won't be morning sick (no 19 mo gap this time) so I'm psyched to really throw a fun, cute, awesome party.

I decided to do a hot pink and zebra theme. ::squeeeee!::

I am bookmarking ideas and am hoping to get crafty and do the decorations myself.  I also scored zebra print plates and napkins at Target.  Woot!

I'm so excited to do a GIRLY party!!!

Here are some of my ideas...

1. Motivation:

I think I'll do the cupcake toppers and the food bowl stick sign thingers. :)

2. Poms

Oh Oh!! I want to make these:

I found a blog with directions and I bought the tissue paper today!!

3. Centerpiece

Using my theme, I think I'll try to make something similar to this for a centerpiece:

XL Pink and Lime Centerpiece, Candy, Sweet Shoppe, Custom, Personalized, Kids, Girl

I think I'll get glass jars from GoodWill to use for serving dishes... I think I'll use ribbon to accentuate the cuteness.

4. Door Hang

Maybe I'll craft something like this to hang on the front door:

Girls 1st Birthday Door Hanger, Welcome Sign

5. Banner

I like this banner too:
Smock real party: a vibriant first birthday party

Yay!!

That was one afternoon of googling... I'm sure I'll find more and some of this might not make it to fruition, but I'm so excited to celebrate her day.  I'm in such a better place than I have been in the last few years. Hallelujah!!!

Now I need some outdoor seating... hmmm... and the menu... and a lawn mower... but those are much smaller details.  It's the cute matching paper products that count, no?! ;)
