June is starting t-ball this year. It's the first time that he's doing an organized sport and he's very excited. June has always been a naturally gifted gross motor kid. He jumped early (the pediatrician was surprised that he was hoping around the room at his 18mo appt.. he had been doing it for a while and she commented that jumping is a 2 year milestone. I can attest to the validity of that bc Eliz is now 20mo and can't jump still). Anyway, he was always good at throwing, making baskets, running, kicking so I'm excited to see him in action. I'm not proclaiming that he'll be the next Olympian (nooooo desire for that) but I think he'll enjoy it. I wouldn't be surprised if sports are June's thing.
Jim actually landed the position of head coach for June's team which, I think, makes it more exciting. He told Jim today that he is happy that Jim is his coach because he doesn't get to see him much. :) Jim's work schedule hasn't been condusive to much beyond tucking the kids into bed and the boys seem to be determined to tug at Jim's heart-strings. Josh plays "work" in the Cozy Coupe in the basement and he'll say to me "Bye, mommy. See you at bedtime." He's not being malicious... that's honestly Josh's perception of a work-day. Thankfully, Jim has started a new routine and he's been getting into work earlier and consequently getting out of work earlier. :) So yeah, tee ball coach. :)
Secondly, June's Kindergarten registration is Friday. (I've been meaning to write up a detailed blog post about our homeschool v. traditional school decision, but there is so much emotion wrapped up in that one. I haven't felt the push to put it all in writing. Suffice it to say, it was a well thought out and methodically calculated (literally) joint decision to send June to Kindergarten next year.) Friday he will go in and see the school and do whatever else they do at registration. I really have no clue. I'm such a newbie.
Now it's tee ball and Kindergarten... before I know it, it'll be dating and college. Eeeek!
(PS, It's late. I'm tired. I tend to not have full connection between my brain and my typing fingers when I'm tired so excuse the typos. I promise I'm not dumb... I just short circuit when I'm sleepy.) :)
