Friday was a normal Friday, but I went out to dinner with my brother Jimmy & sister-in-law (SIL) Jess as well as my dad, brother Mark, and his girlfriend Melanie. We went to a local nicer pizza place and ate and talked. It was nice. We try to get together once a month, just to keep connected amid everyone's crazy lives. It was a nice normal dinner, until Jimmy asks, "So, when do you think Jess and I will have a baby?" I got all stupid giddy and squeal "Right NOW?!?!?!" Like a moron. :P I'm so excited for them. They are 12 weeks and are due December 4th. Jess is feeling ok and seems to be handling pregnancy with a ton of grace. These should be the hardest months for her and she has seemed to come through it unscathed.
So I am going to be an aunt and Jim will be an uncle! We are both excited. Jimmy & Jess will be parents which gives us more common ground & I'm looking forward to that. I'm thrilled.
Saturday we had a birthday party for a classmate of June's. It was minutes from our house and was a ton of fun. All our kids were invited. They had a bounce house and games and a swing set. It was enjoyable. Directly from the party we came home, changed, and headed out to Jim's cousin's wedding. It was a "no kids" event, so we smuggled in Emily but left the rest home with my (wonderful) parents. It was a very nice night. Gorgeous couple, gorgeous venue, and it was great to catch up with family.

| My sisters-in-law: Laura, Meghan, & Madeline |
Sunday kept us moving starting with church. Afterward, we headed to Jim's parent's to station ourselves for the day. We ate lunch there and let the kids play until it was time for Jimmy and Jess's Memorial Day party. They only live about 15 minutes from Jim's parents so it's perfect. We enjoyed Jimmy's party for a few hours and headed back to Jim's parents' house for the remainder of the evening. It was really nice because Jim's sisters Laura & Meghan and brother, Jake, were home. Meghan is home from college for the Summer, Laura lives down south and Jake lives out west, so we don't see them very often. Also, Jake is deploying in July so it was wonderful to see him before that. Hopefully in future years, everyone is local again. It was really great to have so many people around.
Next up was today: Today is our 7th Anniversary. Crazy, huh? We didn't do anything special but we spent the whole weekend together, so there is that. :) Anyway, today consisted of Jim taking the boys to ride in the Memorial Day parade in our town. His cousin drives the truck and the boys are invited every year to ride along.
Eliz slept in and I was able to give Emily a nap for the first time at home, all weekend.
Once they were home we did an early lunch and hung out for a bit. We went to Bunk's Memorial Day party next. The kids swam, like nuts. It was 74* today, which is gorgeous, but the water was 60*. Yeah. The kids played with Bunk's nieces and nephews and rode on the dirt bike with Bunk's brothers. Bunky grew up down the street from Jim and was one of ten children. The whole family is pretty awesome and we feel very normal around all of them. Often we look and feel like an oddity with our string of kids, so it's nice to be included in the Bunky festivities. :)
From Bunk's we headed to Jim's cousin Joel's house. Again, very easy party. The kids ran and played and I was able to sit and chat. Very nice. :)
