Laura is engaged!!!

The title says it all!  This has been quite an exciting time in our family:  My Godson, Christopher, was born mid-November.  Then Jim and I were asked to be Godparents for a close friend's baby, who we just met last weekend.  Then, Jimmy and Jess had Zachary last Tuesday and finally...

Jim's sister Laura got engaged last Thursday, December 5th!  It was her birthday and went something like this:

which she saw from the top of the Lincoln Memorial in DC.  (or at least I think that's what she told me... I don't have all my monuments down.)

Kyle and Laura are a great couple and I'm really happy for them.  Welcome to the family Kyle.  :)  Uncle Kyle.  FUN!! I told the kids that when they see Kyle, he is now Uncle Kyle and they thought that was hilarious.  They've never added an uncle to the family and Jess was fairly new on the scene (at least to them) so to go from Jess to Aunt Jess wasn't a big deal.  Kyle has been "Kyle" for over 3 years, to the kids (at least that's when they met him and he entered their little world.  He's been around longer to Laura).  So anyway, adding "uncle" was humorous, but I think they are psyched.  June has already signed himself up as ring bearer, despite me telling him that it's Laura's decision and she has to ask him. ;)

 I did already get the word that I'm a bridesmaid which is AWESOME.  Not everybody asks their brother's wife to be in their bridal party!!  Plans are already underway and I can't wait to hear more details.  Wonderful, wonderful!
