1. We got our Christmas tree this weekend. It's itty bitty, but absolutely perfect. The farm we get it from offers free apples and popcorn and a visit with Santa and free candy cane from him. The kids love it. This year, while we were waiting for Jim to attach the tree to the car, we stood on the dock and watched the pond. Two swans swam RIGHT over to us. It was very cool. I didn't get a picture, but here is the tree:
2. We had our first snow fall today... and the first snow day of the year.
3. Emily turns one in two days. Say WHAT?!? I still have to prep for her party... I'll get there!
4. The kids met Zachary Sunday and they were calm, but very happy.
(this was the attempt to get Emily with Zack)
It looks like we will have quite the helpers for our next baby!
4. I've finally gotten off my plateau that stuck from before Summer until now. Seeing 135 was wonderful, now I just need to put my nose to the grindstone and work to keep the numbers moving down!
5. Jim is travelling today and I'm hopeful that leads to him being able to take off one day this week or at least be home earlier!!
6. I have something big I want to reveal (not about me), but I want it to be it's own blog post so it'll just have to wait.
7. Emily took one single step last week, but I bet she's still at least a month away from walking. It looks like she'll be like all my others with walking coming later.
8. Two nights ago I slept 12 hours. Yes, twelve. I conked out on the couch at 8:15 and instead of getting back up like I intended, Jim "made" me go up to bed. I did get up with Emily to eat, but I slept until 8:30 the next morning because June had a 2 hour delay. My short term memory has been getting scarily splotchy and I have mentioned to Jim that I really think that's because I don't sleep enough... looks like my body took the wheel on that one and caught up a bit. Now if I get get out of the midnight to seven AM sleep pattern, with Emily waking to eat, I'll be set. Seriously though, I am going to try to sleep more. My lack of sleep has gone from "Oh, I'm so tired" after Josh to "I've got this!" while making mistakes often because my short term memory is short circuiting. I am more pleasant, but I'm becoming dumber by the day. True story.
9. I need to finish this blog and finish cooking dinner before it burns!
