We pulled the kids out of school early on Friday and headed down. We got here at dinner time and went to the beach pretty much right away. It was GORGEOUS! The temperature was so warm, water was toasty, wind was nil. SO nice!
Saturday we did a trip to the park in the morning, lunch and then more beach time. The weather was Summer-esque again. Woo HOO! The three big kids are fish. Straight up, FISH. All three go in deep, dive through waves. Fearless! They have so much fun! Emily enjoys the sand, but was hesitant on the water. In fact, she was pretty scared of it. Annie... ha.... HAHAHAHAHA... I've never seen a baby so innately infatuated with water. She loves the sand, crawls through the waves to get to deeper water. No wave is too big for her to crawl through. She's a baby beach beast! She wants to go deep and get splashed with the waves. The deeper, the better. It's so fun to watch.
Sunday we went to church and did a bit of beach time. Today we found two new parks and got lunch on the board walk, just Jim, me, and the kids. My parents have been with us through the rest of our outings and my brother was here Saturday and Sunday. It's awesome to get extended family time in, though having some "just us" family time is much enjoyed too so the parks and board walk was nice. We did Chinese take-out tonight and got ice cream. Today was 72* and windy so we didn't do many beach outings.
We are left with two more days of vacation and family time. It's so nice to get quality time together with no work or school or schedules and events. I love this week. We look forward to beach week all year ad this year hasn't disappointed! :)
