Summer 2020 - Week 10

This was the week in which we didn't do a ton outside the house and also minimal pictures were taken.

Sunday I had a sprinkle thrown for my by my good friends... It was small, simple, and completely wonderful.

Monday we hit a park in the morning before my 4th infusion in the afternoon...

No park trip is complete without a stolen phone and selfies...

This one little baby that we were waiting on was born Tuesday...

This birth proved that even though births have gone virtual, it doesn't mean they aren't still fully supported: all nighter and all!

It's bittersweet to be off-call and done with birth clients until after my own sweet boy is here.  I was hoping to have September clients, but due to the ebb and flow of birth work and also the slow-down that COVID has brought, September clients don't seem to be in the cards.  However, I'm extremely grateful.  Even with only taking clients 8 months out of this year, I've served 12 TWELVE clients which is one of my higher numbers.  I'm thankful to have worked with so many amazing families this year.  I have 2 more families to do postpartum work with, which I'm looking forward to for sure before completely going out on maternity leave.

Continuing on with the week I had my 5th iron infusion Wednesday and am now 31 weeks.

I don't mind these infusions at all.   I get to sit and chill for about 2 hours -and- I'm feeling energy return which has been really nice.

Thursday I can't remember what we did at all, haha.  Friday we went to our good friend's house and got to catch up and swim!  It was a lovely afternoon!!

We also got official word that the girls (elementary age) will be hybrid and the boys (middle) will be virtual this year.  The girls will go to school 2-3 days a week and be home the remainder.  The boys will go in for 2 days of orientation and then be home allllllll day every day.

One more week of summer remains and then back they go on the 31st.  Or home they stay, whatever. I have many thoughts on covid and many thoughts on the Fall.  Sometimes these thoughts are clear and calm and sometimes I feel like rocking in the corner.  BUT, onward... one more summer week...
