Chatter

I think one of the most amazing part of raising kids is seeing language develop.  It's just awesome to see this frustrated non-verbal  short stack of cuteness transform into a little articulate (I use that term lightly here) person.

Josh is there now.  He's been chattering for a while and granted he is still best understood by Jim or myself but I just love to listen to his banter.  He started with phrases like "watch this" or "look at me" or "water please" to full 4-5 word sentences.  He has the cutest inflection too.  I could squeeze him! Buuut then he'd cry and that, my friends, is no good for anyone.  I digress...

I'll have to see if I can get a clip of his jabbering bc it's cute.  I love to see his little wheels turning and really, now that Josh can talk talk, him and June get along so so much better. Josh can express himself and I think that brings respect from June. It's nice.  I'm starting to see a friendship forge and I'm pretty sure a lot of it is the communication.

As many hair-pulling moments as there are in parenting... the sweet ones sure are sweet.
