Being a super creative mom... er... lazy and not wanting to go in the snow first thing in the morning, I brought the snow in. It was fun!! (for about 10 minutes)
At naptime June helps me shovel and what a pro he is becoming!!
They are taking full advantage of our back yard too. After nap the usually go out to play. There's nothing better in Winter than some snow to play in. :)
(I should probably get some action shots, since this post is all about snow and, um, I don't have any pictures of them outside.) ;)
And the biggest perk is that I'm starting to get the urge to cook more bc a hot meal on a cold day just rocks, yanno? It was Savory Oven Beef Ribs tonight. Yum.

Our day is done... the kids are in bed (not sure if the boys are asleep yet but...) and I have my typical cleaning ahead of me, but I'm going to take advantage of this time to work on my side project. I'm compiling all my favorite recipes into one (very cute looking) binder. I downloaded some cute cherry graphics and am typing out each recipe all decorated, including a picture of the dish. It's a work in progress but I'm excited!! Who knows, maybe this recipe book is the type of thing that Elizabeth will pass down to her daughter. I may be starting a sacred family heirloom here. ;)
Anyway, for now it's a pile of papers and a few Photoshop files... for the next 30 minutes I'm going to work my little fingers off, then the reality of cleaning and bustling around can sink back in.
