Summer Week

This was offically the first week of Summer (even though I feel like we've been in Summer for a while now) and it started by throwing us a crazy heat wave!   Regardless of the heat, we had a nice week.

This is how it went:

Monday:  I think we just stayed home Monday.  For the life of me I can't remember what I did that day. :P  Thus the reason for a blog... my memory doesn't serve me so well. ;)

Tuesday: My mom came out in the morning with breakfast in tow.  We decided to hit Jasper Park with her in the AM and pack a lunch.  It was really nice.  The kids played well and even Eliz was off and playing.  She tends to be my shadow at parks. :)

My mom had to leave at naptime so post nap was on me.  We had a quick dinner and walked to our local park for some evening play before baths and bed.

Wednesday:  Wednesday was the first day that was a scorcher!  We had Melanie and the girls over.  It had been too long so it was really nice to see them and catch up.  The kids played and we got some talking done. :)  Jim got home at a good time and we went to Bunk and Allison's new pool.  It was really nice.  Josh and Eliz played on the steps and June was able to stand in the shallow end so he had a blast jumping in and "swimming."  It was a really nice night.

Thursday:  We met 2 MOPS friends at the fountains for some splashing good times and Jim was home at 4 (!) so we did dinner and went out for ice cream at Premise Maid.  Yum!

Friday:  Friday we headed to a park by Jim's parents house and then went to said parents' house to drop June off for a sleep over.  The kids got to swim in their new baby pool (awesome) and we headed home for naps.

All in all it was a really nice week.  Hot, but filled with outings and friends and daddy time! Always a plus!
